A Tower of Truth

Dark Glasses

Wear dark glasses, hide a tear, do not cast toward me a loaded gaze. Better my reflection in your lenses should cover your indifference. Beware my eyes like pistol barrels. You do not ask how I am. Peace be upon you. Among strangers, a foolish game to draw, to risk being wounded. Our time here is finite. Either way, the gravestone will read: «“His eyes were beautiful, were not ashamed to shed a tear. Their gaze always direct and light-hearted to the brim, and the souls who guarded them from harm now wish that whereupon he rests in peace, he shall find tranquility.”» And you? Wear dark glasses.
