Nevertheless My Love

Give Me

Give me my darkness, with light and noise absent, there I shall see you clearly. Give me time to linger alone, do not summon my words, so I may whisper my gratitude into your ear. Give me the touch of rain and cold, for a moment in storming winds, and I shall pursue the comfort of your warm skin. Give me what is mine, or I shall take it myself and no longer be able to give. Would you give us leave, in darkness and cold, in rain and wind, in silence, to part?
